Which Supercar?

Post by sirwiggum »

Just so happened to nip down the Honda dealer, parked in the car park beside it (a kitchen showroom) and noticed a McLaren (the new one) and a Ferrari California convertible.

Not every day you get a car park like that! Especially in Belfast.

I was leaving work a couple of weeks ago and someone with a white McLaren MP4-12C was just pulling in to the industrial estate.

This being Aberdeen, and there's allegedly a lot of oil money around, there's quite a few tasty motors around; I've seen Bentley Continental GTs, Aston Martin DB9/DBS/Vantages, Lamborghini Murcielago/Gallardo, one Ferrari F40 (which I understand to be worth around £400k), at least one Ferrari 456M, more Porsche 911 variants than you can shake a stick at, a few Maserati GranTurismos and one Quattroporte, and I've seen at least five Jaguar XK/XKRs around (mk1 and mk2).

Makes me smile when my car still gets admiring glances from passers-by despite being in amongst all those high-priced GT cars and exotica.

A rare sight indeed!

If I may make a suggestion, you may be well advised to look elsewhere for your kitchen......
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I thought the granite worktops were a bit pricey, wasn't sure what clientele they were aiming for.

Clearly owners of rare coupes need only apply ;)

Was only parking there too to nip into the Honda garage next door! - To let on this streetview before they moved in

Not super cars but the other sunday i see someone at chapel has a c6, then up the road i see another (different reg) and the same day in omagh i see another c6. Have they become a classic already where the owners only take them out for a quick drive on sundays.

I used to see a taxi driver in Newtownabbey taxiing in a C6 when his colleagues had Octavias.

Classy way to get home from the pub.
