FNS sidelight

well, it wasn't working on my 02 plate HDI so I replaced it, still doesn't work. Have tried wiggling it about but nothing. any known common faults to look for ?

are the metal contacts inside the plastic housing nice and clean ? do they show any signs of corrosion ?
1st thing i would do is check this and maybe use a small screwdriver to scratch/clean them ?

try removing the fuse first as you may blow it cleaning them with .

I did check this and all seemed nice and clean, that's why I think there may be a bigger issue !
