I know Taxis are generally meant to be maintained better than your average family car, but I still have my doubts.

The only reservation I would have personally is to really check the condition of the interior and there maybe more than the usual bumps/knocks from the suspension bushes, not allways an MOT/Inspection failure but annoying nonetheless and can spoil the handling a bit.
Still, for a bag of sand you will still get a modern motor eh?

The only problem now is that no body is answering the phone! I've tried all day.
What the hell is 07039 for a phone prefix anyhow? Mobile or scammer?
think the 07039 is a mobile
but i'm from the newcastle area(im a van driver that covers the whole north-east from berwick to north yorkshire)
so if you know its been a taxi do you have any idea which firm/area it worked cos i pretty much guarantee i'll have heard of/seen the badges in the area
let me know either by pm or on here and i will try and have a scout around for you

being a 2000 x reg it will be a d9, and im 99% sure peugeot didnt make the executive in d9
my 406 used to be a taxi, cost me £700 on '97 reg 97,293 miles with no tax or mot and without service history and was in excellent condition
only needed and exhaust and 4 tyres for mot
so this one sounds a bargain

Decided against it and got a new exhaust for Bessy. £281 all in from Manifold to rear box inc 3 year warranty!
That 406 is a steal at £1000 but the guy is not open to negotiation and collecting £1000 is scraping all my barrels and wouldn't leave me anything for the rest of January. Literally, it'd be every penny I have just now.
It was a painful decision... I WANTED that 406! I'm gutted, but ultimately I'll be able to live this month now.
