Just had a renewal quote from swiftcover and its £522, and I cant protect my 4yrs NCD as they just changed the rules that I now need 5yrs in order to protect it. Other cheapest quote I've seen is Swinton at £580 with protected NCD.
Dunno how the fck they can charge that price, I know its a group 12 but ffs I'm 30 not 17-21 and its a pissing Diesel.

My renewal came through this week and it is £76 more than last year GOD I HATE INSURANCE COMPANIES so I tried confused.com and got it £215 which is a £1 more than last year which I can just about stretch to.
Guys you really need to learn how to NEGOTIATE with these companies, just as I do mine every year.... would you like me to tell you how you can save money on your cover??? Of course you would.
The first thing that you do is call 2 insurance companies and get real quotes, not online quick ones.. then you do the confused quote to see what you get back, take the lowest quote and cut it down by at least £100 typically this will work. Now call the 1st company again and tell them the quote you have off confused.
I guarantee they will beat that quote, then tell them you will call them back because you want to discuss it with your partner, dog, cat, who ever.... Then call your second insurer, tell them what the 1st is offering and they will try and usually beat it... its a game of tennis your playing the ball against each of the players... the outcome is a winner 9 out of 10 times. Plus don't forget that with Adrian Flux you get 15% off when quoting the 406oc.
If you need any ID to confirm membership just let me know!
I promise you this will work... I've not had to do this the last 2 years because adrian flux have been very, very good to me and I cannot recommend them enough, but previous insurers have always been played.... like a playa ! ! ! ! lol

No fooking way yours is that cheap. You must live in a posh area and be in postcode group B for that?
Cheapest I have seen online is Liverpool Victoria £515 Guranteed NCD. Gonna have to ring around on Mon/Tues.

Mine was £108 with the AA, fully comp, NCB protected etc (20 years worth!). It's £11 cheaper for the Mi16, which surprised me!
Now the other 'arf has taken the 406 from me it's jumped to over £400 for her, which is silly - female+30yrs old+12 yrs NCB+police response/pursuit trained should make her a safe bet. Duh. doesn't make sense as even before it officially became hers she drove it as much as I did, and the insurers were told we pretty much drove it 50/50, so I can't see what's changed.
eSure will protect NCB at 4 years.
Insurance is just a posh term for being mugged whilst having a large cactus stuffed up the nethers!
When I moved into my cottage I had a big argument with the AA - they initially bumped up my premium by about £40 a year, claiming it was a higher risk area than my old abode. Unfortunately for them, I have access to the dibble crime recording systems which clearly showed that it was actually endured lower levels of autocrime and burglary. A few letters and a mention on our local radios consumer show and they backed down. I genuinely think that risk isn't the major factor - I think they took one look at my posh nob address and though "he must be loaded, so we can stick it to him and he won't moan cos he can afford it".
