We got a tent that was easy enough to put up.

Went camping once.
It isn't like they show on the TV where they pull up to some idyllic countryside and pitch up, a crowded campsite with chav kids running around everywhere.
Then the tent is only 6 foot long, I am 6 foot 3.
It kept raining and the condensation inside hit me everytime I stretched out.
Didn't get a good nights sleep at all.

I mind I had better times in the old camper van years ago though.

It took you 4 hours to erect? ... I prefer my caravan to camping i must say but it took me less time to set the tent up on the weekend than it does to pitch the van, sort the awning and sort out all the other stuff we take with us.

I got a tent, one of them chuck it and it's up jobs 8)

I remember seeing the Sherman's with their RVs in Yosemite National Park - out with the astro turf, comfy chairs, fridge, tv... Problem is Yosemite is a massive valley with no TV reception (why a TV anyway? it's the great outdoors, loads to see and do but you must have your fricken TV I guess  ). I was in the shop when one guy came in complaining he couldn't get a signal on his TV, they tried explaining to the guy but he just didn't get it. Not to worry, they had one of those infomercials about the park playing looped on a monitor so he want and sat in front of that. Should have fed him to the bears.

Noticed that. Camping by Fermanagh lakes end of last August, took a walk round after the rain, and the caravans and campers all have their TVs on for the bloody x factor

Out the great outdoors and you still need your fix of lowest common denominator cowell cashcow trash TV.

You two will love coming caravanning with me then, one week away last year inside the caravan we had tv, dvd player, sky and my laptop... out in the awning for the kids they had tv, sky and a nintendo wii

Great when it's pissing down the kids dont sulk theres nowt to do, if the weathers good though we dont see them... I've seen the whole X-factor bollocks on campsites too what a load of cock the only thing i personally take the tv for is to watch my downloaded tv episodes after everyones gone to bed until i fall off my chair drunk.
