A Couple Of D8 Questions

Just wondered if anyone can answer these questions;

Got an irratic speedo and next thing for me to check is the gearbox speed sensor, planning on liberating one from a breakers.
Do I need one from a 1.9td or are they all the same fitment?

Is there any way to test the fuel light? the needle on mine seemed to get very low with no warning light before I fueled it, I'm sure the light usually comes on with the needle above the level it got to at the weekend.

My passenger wiper arm seems to rest quite high up the window, I suspect the arm has been removed at some point and put back on the wrong spline. How close to vertical do the wiper blades go on the screen under normal use? Mine goes passed vertical which is why I think it's been moved. Wipers work fine it just looks slightly out when the arms are parked.

i have a 2.1 and my fuel light sometimes works and sometimes it dosnt[and i run out ] so if you find the solution i would like to know.
