Did you get to the bottom of this one yet? I'm guessing this is the com2000 you changed, it should fit straight on and work fine (if you got the right one...)

Not sure about this "key reader", it's not one I've heard of. They usually say "immobiliser fault" or some such, there's an aerial around the barrel that picks up the transponder chip in the key, maybe you upset this while you were changing the com2000 :?

check the Transponder ring,

iirc it has 1 Brown wire, 2 blue wires, check and make sure thats got agood conection,
if youve got A spare key take chip out or place key ontop of the transponder pick up ring, and see if it starts,

Bsi Reset might help too,

im confused, sorry,

does the car start with the original comms stalks on?

if it does id put them back on and source ones with the same part number, itd be less hastle than trying to disable the imobiliser,
tbh icarnt see how theyve imobilised your car in the first place, did you follow the 3 min rule ?

3min rule. bsi reset,

send them back mate, get refund and source correct ones,
if you look at citroen xsaras,. not all but some of them have the same ones,

if there imobilising your car id remove them , its not worth the risk of knackering up a bsi imho
