double din
hi ive had a look about but has any1 ever made a double din in place of the big radio for a 01 406. i have the single din 1 with a kenwood stereo but i could do with the extra ducket for my taxi meter thanks in advance

ive seen that 1 but it looks far to much hassle . besides i like it in standard layout but with a normal stereo & the extra spot to put my taxi meter. if youve seen 1 my brother has a 06 passat with the double din conversion. thanks anyway

Can you not fit your taxi meter in the cubby-hole underneath the standard stereo, just in front of the gear stick? That is, after all, just an empty space.
There are other taxi drivers on these forums, maybe post a new thread and title it "Taxi Meter in a 406" and see where other 406 taxi owners have put their meters?

Taxi meter,
ive not seen one of them in a while, there all state of the art digital sat nav stylee things now,
if you after a nice double din unit with built in sat nav, iknow someone whos selling one , cheap
