Passenger heated mirror doesn't work

Hi, I only noticed this yesterday because i rarely use the heater for rear windscreen, but i noticed that the heater on my exterior mirror works fine, because when i got off the car i touched the mirror glass and it was hot and no rain water, but the passenger wasn't hot and with rain water.

Is this the normal behave that only the drivers mirror have heat function ?

Nope, it means that the passenger one dosent work. On mine the cause was a burnt out eliment behind the glass. You can only buy it atatched to the glass, so I never bothered to fix it.
But it might be worth a look in case its something like a conector fallen off behind the glass.

Thanks for the feedback, is this something expensive ? Can i find it on main dealer for a reasonable price ( doubt it since it will need the new glass) or go for scrapyard ?

It was a while back, but I seem to recall £35 from the dealer. From a scrappy is an option, but it might be burnt out to?

yeah, it can be burnt too, But i could always try to return it if it doesn't work. Normally they accept it.

Yes it is. It's why mine never got fixed! You could phone them to make sure I got the numbers right. Or perhaps try the wonders of eBay?

Or type 406 mirror into eBay. Lots come up new, heated for £10ish

Which is the best ?

Are the 406 blue tinted ? Convex or flat ?
