Just bought my old car back after 2 years and the previous owner has worked wonders on it, the only thing was a stiff accelerator pedal. He said he hadnt noticed so put it down to a peugeot trait. However, I popped the bonnet this morning to have a look round and looked underneath the cable I found a clothes peg clamped to it, just where the cable goes into the, I think, throttle body. Anyone have any ideas why?
Its between parts 7 and 9

Well after a bit of investigation it looks like the accelerator cable has stretched beyond it's limit and the peg has given it that extra bit of tension, so well done Lozz, you unwittingly got it right

ive had two upto now with stretched cables, carnt see how they stretch tho tbh,
unless last owners where looking for more power trying to push the loud pedal through the floor,
