Post by Gary406 »

d-day has come for my new d8. had it from december now. changing the front disc's and pads and droplinks today ready.

theres been a bad clunk at the front for 5 weeks now so hoping changing the droplinks sorts that out

cheers highlander.

disc's, pads and new droplinks now fitted.
some1 kindly put copper grease all over the droplink bolts . they even put some on the inside od the bolt. cant believe how easy they come off
was a simple case of ratcheting them off and put new ones on. took all of 3 minutes do each link

took it for a test drive. no more clunking

Apart from the fact the struts will have to be stripped, both sides, you can bet the other top mount wont be far behind.......

Could be a fair bit of labour?

just getting the one side done welly. if other goes soon after then will have that done wen it goes. it could last another 10 month. who knows ?

taking the one strut off is not hard. cant see it being more than 1 hours labour ?
