HDi Glowplug dash light.

Post by julian »

just a quick one

I have a 2001 HDi 90. It's says in the book that the glowplug light should come on with the ignition when the engine is cold. However my light has never worked since I bought the car. I have checked the bulb which is ok.

Should this work on HDi's?

Possible causes?

Many Thanks

Depending on outdoor temperature, and engine temp, the glow plug light doesn't allways come on.

Even when pretty cold on a first-start of the day my glow plug light only comes on for a second or two.

If the car starts up ok I shouldn't worry.

On my HDi it's a case of blink and you'll miss it.
