FrakenPug!

Post by Bailes1992 »

*beep* 'Engine Depollution System Defective'
Poped up on the Pug today on my way home. Gave my mechanic a ring who said no probs pop it straight in.

I had planet in my boot so we plug the computer in and get EDC15C2 - Low Additive Level :|

So at this moment I'm very confused and ask the mechanic to put it up on his ramp...
And there you have it. My 2002 HDi 90 has a FAP and a bone dry Eloys tank

I'm not sure I believe it!
Can we get a picture?!
I know service box alludes to the existence of HDi 110 with particle filter (though nobody has ever seen one), but not a 90.

What's even stranger is that this is on a Siemens system and not a Bosch system like the 136 and alleged 110.

When I got a spare 5 I will get a picture. It is very strange! My Uncle said he's never had an issue with it before either! But he used to use the motorway alloy previously. Now He's moved down here it's a different matter.

A particulate filter on a Siemens ECU? What? Incredible!
Are you sure yours is a Siemens? If it's a Bosch defapping it is extremely easy but for a Siemens... I do not know.

Siemens SID80 ECU.

I'm totally baffled.
Same time it's also the same ECU that more modern PSA cars use

what does the service box characteristics say about your car when the vin number is typed in, does it show up the presence of a FAP.

ihad all this info in a pdf shame icarnt link it as ive just emptied 30gig of junk from harddrive :(
if its a 90 with fap id say it must of been one fitted in error

Even citroen never fitted them to 110s and 90s or dmf, same lump

Unless someone 'improved' it.

I've de-fapped a fair few 2.2's. Never tried, but I guess you can, 'un-de-fap' it too.

Are you sure EcuSafe works on Siemens mate? I'm not completely sure it does... but it may.

Can't be certain, but Siemens SID does seem to be a choice for Peugeot, so looks encouraging.
