Injector number 2 AND 4 are in bad shape. 2 shows numbers between 4.8-5.2 and 4 shows between 1.5-3.0
Guess i have to get some Ebay special equippment to get them out. Cant afford to leave it to specialist, cost a fortune here in sweden. Only for work they charge over 100£/hour and the price of injectors we dont even need to talk about ... This is a have to do myself thing :/
vonEnoch wrote:Ah...well... Today they didnt want to come loose... No matter how i tried to convice it... didnt budge!
Well.... guess i have to let it "soak" for few more days and if it doesnt work i guess i put this french lady away (a bit angry now ;)).
Not even one? That's weird!

Ok I see. Try this one, take much care. Unscrew a couple of turns of the 2 screws holding the injector(s) you wat to remove. Then rev the engine hard. The pressure in the cylinder should get them out a little bit.

I do not know, I guess so. Take care and go very slowly, taking times between one slight move and the other: if the injector deformates a little (gets longer due to the huge mechanical stress) it may be extremely difficult to get it back in good conditions when calibrating it.

Dont care too much if the injector gets damaged. Intend to replace it anyways. Can get "new" one for under 100£. Getting a bit fed up arguing with PeggySue . Important is that i get it out without too much fuss and weeks of time. Need to get the car running properly soon, either to keep it or sell it away and return to my Bimmers ;) Dont know yet, charming lady this Peggy somehow so....
Hmm.. tried to unscrew and rev a bit.. maybe i should try it again and rev a bit harder and longer...
Finally got the ebay extractor tool today. Went out immidietly to test it and in less than one hour i had extracted the injector. It was really stuck! Very much carbon buildup.

Well done! How much did you pay for the extractor by the way?

vonEnoch wrote:Oh.... and one more question. The copperwashers and plastic cap. How do i get them out...seems they are stuck down in the hole....
You have either to buy an extractor for the copper washer, to fabricate one or to fiddle with a screwdriver until you can remove it!

vonEnoch wrote:Guess i have to fiddle then Hmm.. would a pin with a hook do the job?
As long as it does not fall inside the engine
