I finally got in the attic yesterday and I've managed to get pictures of all I could find. I've stuck them in the following photbucket link!

Whats that handheld? A Lynx?

Nice boxed cassette walkman!

I used to have garages and that like that with the ramps and all. Are yours part of a system?

Road systems I mind were Matchbox Motorcity (think it was the same as your set) and Majorette.
Had a Micro Machines NASCAR track, and Matchbox did these sets with sub-Micro Machine sized cars in them.

I had a cardboard road set called Roadways or something that had UK style junctions and all.

Last time I went into the attic I came out with a BBC Micro - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290687744391? ... 1562.l2649 and a Mac Plus - http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18065

Reminds me of a line in a song that read the highlighted paragraph.

Walking down the stret, my next door neighbours not impressed

He's covered in tinfoil and he's got matching metal socks
We tried to sedate him but he f*cking escaped

He tries to sell himself standing in curries
But if the police turn up, he runs in a f*cking hurry
He tries to plug himself in the mains with his nob

Yep, it is a Mk1 Lynx! It is a bit battered but I'm pretty certain it still works, I found the adaptor for it and California Games still inside! The walkman is an EX510, one of those fancy old ones that only needed a single battery, would last 15hrs and could find the next track as long as there was a 3 second gap! The big service station and construction site are hot wheels sets, forgot I had those!

eBay stuff is ridiculous.

Vintage Macs are going for silly prices, £150+ for a compact.

Been looking a mouse for a plus but they're looking silly money, £60+ including postage

Well I've had some luck with them in the last week! I had them on Gumtree and a guy contacted me about them! Asked for prices for 4 of them which I gave him but haven't heard back yet. I also found a big antiques place near glos docks and asked them if they would be interested and I did get another email back yesterday, the chap said he would have all of them them as long as the price was reasonable. My main problem is that I only have a totally rough guess for the prices. On Ebay they are well overpriced, for instance a boxed original he man figure at £170, I'm never going to get that kind of money. I've only charged like £5 each for my figures, £30-40 for the boxed transformers and mask which I thought was reasonable. Even charging that much, when I did some figures yesterday it came to around £400 for the lot so I've offered the chap that amount but said of course I'm open to offers.

I had the he man and his green tiger that he rode.

My cousin had one it had plate in his chest that you pushed with your thumb and it turned around to look dented.

Well I'm off to meet someone on Saturday who is hopefully buying the whole lot! I've done some calculations, charging like £5 to £10 for everything I'm looking at a figure of around £400, fingers crossed!

I have a fair few die cast models I've started a small collection.

I get bored of a lot of the samey Lledo Model T vans, especially when they just have modern logos on nothing to do with reproducing past vehicles.

Have a nice Guinness set

Image

The cream coloured van is a Belfast bottler - Red Heart. Gone nowadays as Diageo does it all, but there is still a big sign outside the Duke of York pub for them.

Couple of nice Oxford Diecast sets too

Image

Image

A few other Corgi/Lledo ones
- Fawlty Towers Austin and Basil with the branch
- Ulsterbus Wrightbus
- Ulsterbus Leyland
- Little Plum van
- Guinness steamer lorry
- Guinness Morris Z van
- Beefeater van
- Tetley tea lorry

Couple of big Maisto cars
- Jag XK
- Jag S type
- Corvette

And some odds
- GTR
- James Bond DB5 with the ejector seat
- Dinky refreshments trailer
- Xantia
- Clio
- Reproduction Dinky Ferrari
