Fusebox different to Haynes

Post by VespaSkin »

I'm trying to check my fuses - more like make sure I have the right fuse in the right place, also to get my head round what is what - however, when I look at my fusewbox and look at the Haynes manual for the internal (cab) fusebox they don't match - Haynes - banks of 5 with either a spare or shunt - mine banks of 6

Haynes - fuse 1 bottom left - bank of 5 then spare - mine a continious row of 13 (or 14) - does anyone know of a list of fuses for this box??

Cheers

F-me matey - cheers - Is fuse one bottom left as you look at it - it's the layout that throws me as the shunts seem to be one position on if using haynes manual (apparently there are 3 layouts of this fusebox)

Again - big thanx

Try comparing your fuses to the Haynes diagram upside down - that's how my V-reg D9 is...

Hi Paul @ Gatwick here. I have recently purchased my old mates 406 estate. 1.8 It goes very well for an olden but needs some work on it. For a start the cigar lighter dont seem to work , I dont smoke, but would like to plug prat-nav and phone in there sometimes. well, the cigar lighter socket seems dead so I naturally opened up the dash-board fuse box to chack it and im baffled. I have the original users manual which seems to bare no relationship in layout to whats in THAT fusebox!

The manual makes it look easy to identify the correct fuse (a 20amp one) and says its at position 23. As far as I can see a lot of the fuses aren't even there, big gaps all over the place and again the amperage bares no relationship to what the manual shows.....

could be a trip to a (ripp-off) garage if I dont find the correct one to replace or cheack-out. Paul
