Peugeot 406 for an estate equivalent

Post by chomerly »

I'm in need of an estate, van or 4x4 for work as i no longer have access to a van which is a must for my work.
As a result of this i am offering up my 406 for a swap.

Now, my car isn't the best of looking cars as there a few dents here and there from when i bought it and the front nearside wing needs replacing.
Everything else with the car is great and it has a solid engine.
I have replaced the rear wheel bearings, discs, pads and shoes and i am still yet to do the front discs and pads.

I have some brand new anti roll linkages for the rear but i think i'm going to leave that up to the garage to sort out for me when i take it in for a new clutch and the front drivers side driveshaft (brand new genuine part ready) will be replaced as well.
It will also be serviced in the next few weeks as it is due to have one done.

As said there are various dents around the car from when i bought it but i never really did anything about them as i wasn't going to keep the car for as long as i did.
I had access to a van for work but now that has gone my needs have changed so i figured i would try my luck on here and see if i could get any interest.

I need an estate, 4x4, or van but would prefer a 4x4 or estate.
I don't mind if the car needs some work as long as it is fairly presentable and the engine is reliable.
I would also consider part ex'ing with cash your way for the right vehicle but as i am limited on my work now funds will be tight but let me know anyway.

I'll get some pictures up of my motor tomorrow and post them as soon as.

Thanks for looking.

------------------------Edit-------------------------------------

I forgot to add that it is a,

1998(R) 2.0 406 saloon.
The air conditioning needs re-gassing,
Over the weekend the drivers side electric window switch has started to play up as the auto raise for the window stops after a second but works fine when opening,
All the tyres were replaced at the beginning of February and there is a good spare too,
Exhaust (including CAT) was replaced at the end of October 2010.

I've most of a 2001 Estate that has a 2.2HDI engine with a blown turbo in it that I was thinking about scrapping in Ollerton, Notts.

It's in very good nick but I recently bought another 406 & have had a lot of parts out of it to make the new one good-you could perhaps consider doing the same with yours as a donor car? Don't quite know yet what I'm going to do with it TBH. Just thinking out loud really!
the above will relate to a 2001 2.2HDI 136BHP GTX. VIN: VF38EHXF..Estate. In red. Yes it's FAP & Eolsys too. Deep joy. Now dead.

2.0HDI 110 2001 Estate these days.

I'd be interested mate but i'm assuming that you are a fair distance away from Wolverhampton.
I've no idea where Notts is.

Are you looking to sell it and if so what would you be asking?

@chomerly

if iwas you iwouid change the photos mate,
take some of the car away from the grab, it might put a few people off that, if you know what imean,

take some of the car away from the yard somewhere with a nicer back ground,

not saying the yard is an eyesore or anything mate, but it can put people off buying cars if they look like there in a scrapyard
