Ade does them, as far as I remember. Can't find any on ebay but it must be worth asking.

I don't understand why manufacturers do this though, they build the car with excellent corrosion proofing, then skimp on a component of the braking system FFS! What's all that about?!?!

Sam posted the price for the plates earlier, £93 odd each, I'm told you'll more than likely need to replace the hub bearings too, guessing at least £50 each.... Also I'm too lazy so it'll need to go to the garage, and I'll probably elect to do them both at the same time, so it ain't going to be cheap..... and my insurance is due too.... and I need a couple of tyres....

Still I've never scrimped on this car in the 10 years I've had it and I don't intend to start now 8)

OK, so £186.86 spent at the stealer, ordered a pair of back plates. Car booked into my local mechanic for a week Thursday to get them changed.

The thing about the hub bearings: the mechanic says that he often finds they come off OK and are fine to use again, but my over-cautious mind is saying that the last thing I want is to have to get it all stripped down again to change a knackered bearing, so I'm thinking of replacing them anyway..... They're £40 a side on ebay. Whadda you reckon?

I'd change them.
The Focus was on it's original rear wheel bearings, I did the brakes and within 5000 miles they had both gone.
I don't think they like being disturbed.
