What the hell happened to the paint on the front end?

Could do with a bit of a tidy, and would look a bit happier with a set of Peugeot 15in or 16in alloy wheels; 4x108 fitment, offset ET18, tyre sizes 195/65/R15 for 15in alloys or 215/55/R16 for 16in alloys.

Your car is definitely a D9. The D8-to-D9 change occurred during mid-1999.

Easiest ways to tell are:

honeycomb grill on the front = D9, slatted grill on the front = D8
side indicator lights on the wing = D9, side indicator lights on the rub strip = D8
body-coloured strip splitting the rear lights = D9, horizontal groove across the boot lid = D8

HOWEVER we're aware that during 1999, a number of "mongrel" versions got released when the various parts bins were getting emptied, so it's not unheard of to find a car from 1999 that has traits of both D8 and D9 models. It can be a bugger.

It's a D9 with chicken pox  bit of a tidy it'll be fine mate.

I removed my back wheel trims last week when doing my brakes and drove for a day without them, it's suprising how scruffy wheels look without trims.

Your bonnet has went the same way mine did, but the front bumper is a real surprise, someone must have enjoyed tailgating the gritter lorry

It should be a gd awl work horse for you and the 110bhp should give you a bit of poke to :D

It looks attrocious :!:  Which of course says nothing about how well it works---there's no shortage of pristine looking lemons.

Paintwork on mine was fine but rust on the doors.

New bonnet, bumper and 2nd hand wheeltrims and it'll look the part.

Good to see another member from Ireland. Once hurtled round in a fleet 00-D in the same colour on a summer job about 10 years ago.
