Heater matrix
Had the car for a bit now and it's always used a little bit of water couldn't find any leaks or signs of head gasket until today I got in and had strong smell of anti freeze and me floor was wet so I got the lovely job of stripping it down
2.1 glx p reg d9 half leather electric seats d9 centre console leather steering wheel front lag splitter de badged front end strut brace all grey bits of interior is now black
Things to do finish off fitting leather door cards,coil overs,window tint, fit wolfrace wheels with 20 mm spacers 225.45.17 and the list will continue

I got the same issue and the floor got soaked and wife complained of hot water drippings seldom. In this part of the world you don't need the heater matrix to keep you warm. Therefore, just disconnected the water lines running to matrix and by passed.
Will do the job if a/c condenser needs to take apart, someday.

There only bout £20 for a new unit so just gonna change it the weekend

What I'm trying to avoid is the hassle of taking the dash apart and possibly breaking some fragile plastics inside.

Ye I heard its a bitch to do but if I by pass it I won't get round to do it till we have frost so im just gonna tackle it the weekend I'll let u no how I get on

just take your time with it mate,
theres a dashboard support bar, thats supposed to make the job awkward so im told, but you can persude that out the way,
it couid be worse mate, alot of cars involve removing the whole dashboard, total p.i.t.a that job is

Supposed to be quite an easy job, less than 2 hours in the trade book times.....no dash removal required.

Hopefully it is easy mike done his lx and didn't find it to bad I no it go na be awkward to do
