Other car Forums are rubbish !!!

Post by Welly »

Recently I have registered with a couple of 'large' forums with thousands of members just to gather a bit of info on a couple of cars, did the usual ''say hello'' and then ask a question...............NOTHING, not a carrot.

They were crap, you had the usual 'hardened' members and newbies are all but pushed into the background. You'd have to work like a dog to win their favour, arogant bunch :x

I hope, well I know, that this forum is FAR more friendly to people :cheesy:

Let's keep it that way 8)

Yeah, they would be REAL car enthusiasts, not jumped up mummies boys with half an idea about cars, and too much money.

I frequent http://www.aussiefrogs.com - Its the aussie french car enthusiast website covering all three marques...really friendly bunch with social meets etc!

I know what you mean with some other forums though - Toyota Soarers.....I can't believe I originally wanted one! They go for peanuts here as they were sold here by Lexus...all imports from Japan!

I am a bit of a Jap car fan myself and regularly browse through the stock at ''neweraimports'' based in London they have a man in Japan selecting all the best stuff from the auctions, each car for sale on their site has about 70 photos including underneath, and around the engine, everything.

I had an Imported Honda Integra, it was 10 years old at the time, but underneath it looked 3 years old it was soooo clean (damn british roads ruin are cars).

This week they have the ACTUAL cars that were used in the making of Tokyo Drift, check em out!!!

I gotta say, this forum is the best. it might have a smalle (ie, 'elite') membership, but they're by far the most helpful going and we can all wind one another up without any of the stupid arguments and name calling that break out on some infrerior forums. Our love of the 406 transcends all that 6ollocks. Hell, I drive a 405 Mi16 and you guys are still polite to me!

I find the following rude and unhelpful -

He he, must be hard to find one of those now, remember the MI 16 ''le mans'' edition that was cool.

Is it me or did the 405 handle better than the 6?

the 406 weighs a hell of a lot more than the 405, so the 405 would always handle better
