Re: Had the Remap!
Sounds reasonably priced, especially if you're well pleased with the results.
Did they quote you any output numbers?

Re: Had the Remap!
They said 35bhp and 50lbft torque,i'd like to have had a rolling road output test before and after but couldn't find anywhere local to me that could do that so i'll have to take there word for claimed output,it really does pull quicker/better from 1500-3000 rpm.

Re: Had the Remap!
Nice one but keep an eye on the rear lower engine mount - it'll get mullered with the extra power and affect other stuff like the eggsauce flexi and whatnot.

Re: Had the Remap!
Well did over 300 miles this weekend after the remap and quite impressed so far.It was mostly motorway although my journey from oxfordshire to derbyshire fri night was just one traffic jam to another so a lot of idling in traffic. It pulls a lot more lively from 1500 rpm to 3000 rpm and overtaking on b roads is a lot more relaxed and less a white knuckle ride. The one thing i have really noticed is the improved mpg,i reckon i must me getting 5-8 mpg more than before,i'm seeing figures on the mfd i haven't seen before!

Re: Had the Remap!
I found the same with regards to the MPG figures being higher on the MFD but in actual fact, it hasn't really changed. Not sure how the MPG is calculated by the ECU but it seems that it might not take the extra fuel input provided by the remap into account. And because your foot doesn't need to be as heavy, it thinks you're using less fuel.

Re: Had the Remap!
I didn't notice any effect on the accuracy of the mpg on mine, (or for that matter any real change in mpg), 'cept if you get carried away - it can defo burn more of the stuff!Captain Jack wrote:I found the same with regards to the MPG figures being higher on the MFD but in actual fact, it hasn't really changed. Mine doesn't smoke to speak of, no clutch slip & now no vibration at 2000 RPM.How's the smoking when booting it? Also, watch out for the clutch slipping as mine now is....

Re: Had the Remap!
No noticable increase in smoke,it had a replacement clutch and solid flywheel 5k miles ago just before i bought it so hopefully i won't have any issues with that.I will do a fill to fill calculation when i can afford to fill it up,i know what you mean about throttle position though as it seems you hardly have to touch the accelerator now when cruising 60-70 mph.
