Gearbox speed sensor

Hi all been having the speedo stop working once a month at first then more and more frequently. reading old posts on the subject its quite a common fault some seem to say clean it up others replace it. Ive bought a new genuine sensor but cant see were it is on the gearbox can anyone help.

Hi its on top of the diff where the drivers side drive shaft goes in to the gear box
