I had a look yep he's got some bad feedback but given the number of items he sells and the fact the items are massive its hard to expect 100% feedback, and I've always been able to get a paypal refund when not satisfied on ebay.

i just went to the local tyre shop they were able to let me see a few different rims and in the end i went for some 15 nvk alloys with new michilen tyres for £380 in the same profile 195/55/R15 as before. 16 inchs would have cost too much (500+)
i just need to go back some day to have them fitted

Just took the car back to get them fitted, here it is:

Its a good job they let you see the wheel on before buying them, initially this rim had a low profile tyre on it and when it was on the 406 it looked ridiculously small.

They look alright them fp,

yeah i agree theyd wouidnt look right with the Lp tyres,
lp tyres are abit more expensive to replace too, so youl save in the long run,

Low profile tyres are useless, ruin the ride and as soon as they get a bit soft they blow the sidewall.

The man set the wheel onto the car and it looked like it was a bit small but it wasn't until it was set on the ground that the two tyre fitters and myself had a bit of a chuckle at the look of the car

Thanks for the positive comments, it makes the car look a bit sportier, if i get hold of a proper camera ill take a few pictures, but these alloys are good because they show off the red brake callipers more

Best thing to do on new alloys is get plenty of car polish on them mate,
it stops the crap off the roads sticking to them,

Low profiles would get wrecked in the sticks, between potholes and being forced into verges and kerbs by tractors, SUVs and buses
