Done remap! But ...

well, done the thing.

It's quicker and responses better, but i though i would get a " wow " feeling.

It was tested 3 times before remap, got 108Ps, 107,4Ps, 107Ps.( i think its the same as bhp )

After remap was tested and i got values of 130Ps, i though this was a bit low value and he re-edit the map and after another test it got 134Ps, this time i let it be, because it was a good value since i don't want to race with nobody.

Smoke ? Yeah a little. But that's normal.

Turbo? Max pressure is 1.2 .

But anyway, when i floor ir i feel a lot more power for sure, but i doesn't speed like a devil but it speeds up well sure... Here is the graph :

Fly? not really, but it runs faster, but i though it would be something really " wow " thing ... but i guess that if i wanted something wow thing i would need some parts changing after few miles(like turbo and engine mountings and clutch which is new but who knows what would happen) ... lol

That looks pretty impressive. Did you do it all yourself?

For me, the way it keeps delivering max power to 4000 rpm or more is every bit as important as the peak value. I often find the faster modern diesels are similar to mine, but fall behind when they run out of breath, or have to change up.

You see, with mine, the boost doesn't come in with any wham, it's just there from 1400rpm up and keeps going, and is really smooth, so it's very deceptive as to how well it goes.

Maybe you've dropped lucky and had a good remap done

If some of this remaps bring the power in too quick, then maybe that's why they are getting through the engine mounts?

My car has had a remap on it 7 or 8 years now, and when I had the clutch changed last year ( nothing wrong with the clutch itself, just thrust bearing went, so whilst off....) I had a new mount to go on, but was told there was nothing wrong with the original mount

Doggy's car impressed me also, as the power is really smooth with his 2.2 and I didn't realise how fast his was, until I got straight into my car

It wasn't me who did the remap, it was an experienced guy who had a dyno dynamic for the testing which i found it great because he done every single test so he wont miss anything.

He said that the way this remap is, is the best so it won't brake the engine mounts and turbo.

Mine kicks a lot more when turbo kicks in at 1950 rpm but i feel the presence of a quicker responsiveness at almost any rpm.

Plod i agree with you some of the people getting engine mounts braking is because they are forcing the engine a little too much because the power kicks in a lot sooner and the engine bends a lot more down

I've read on here that you have a copy of ecu safe where did you get it
don't have a pug got a cit c8 2.2 hdi and want the fap dpf
Removed as its a pain in the a£?e and if poss can you send me a copy of your re-map
Files as I get a kick in the back every time the blower kicks in.

Unfortunately, my car is doing a noise,checked and it was suppose to come from a dodge tube that goes to the admission, but it wasn't .. the noise it's still there. But they now say it is down to the manifold/collectors and turbo...

And this noise started right after de remap...

The turbo wasn't also very good before the remap, it was doing a bit of ambulance/police car sound and a bit of whistling...when you reving and stop reving you hear a similar sound. But this is not the sound that is doing, the sound that it does, it looks like some type of leak or what ...

So.. is it down to the turbo pressure being more high ?

Just a bit of an update ... Fuel economy with this remap is none ... even if i drive it slowly the economy is still the same or even a tiny little bit worse ...

Or remap wasn't done properly ... or it has too much power ...

a way to test is when you come back home after a drive go to the mirror and if you see one of these all is well.

Didnt found what type of engine do you have in your peugeot.

I would change the entire exhaust system before remap if i were you,just a little bit bigger.

Considering your noise from turbo,i think thats normal sound for it,it takes air in it so its normal.

Last thing,remap...it is ok thing to do but first of all,the engine has to be very good,clean,well maintained,becose remap is pulling more power from
your engine,meaning more stress for it so everything has to be new and fit to the task.
You have to change oil more frequently and other things.
I have also wanted to do remap on my turbo,but my car isnt ready yet becose i have to replace many things yet and cash is going very slow in my pockets
If your peugeot is like my,a D8 2.0 turbo version than im not sure how much uprating power turbo can take.
Remember,this engines were made for cruising and smooth driving,for some faster responses,remap itself wount be enough.
