legal or not legal? Side light bulbs,

ive just bought some of these,

what do you rekon are they legal or not legal,


as of will they work in the car withought conflict on the electrics idont know, thought theyd be worth atry,

it says for renault but il bet they will fit most cars,

I can't think why they would be illegal, they're just marker lights so I can't see it matters what they are. So long as they're not blue or flash or something...

I think it's fairly simple overall:

Brake lights = Red
Indicators (except BMW) = Orange
Forward lighting = White (lots of variation i.e. LED white and incandescent off-white/yellowish)

You are not allowed Proper Blue or Green colours.

its white so its legal. dunno if this is anything to go by but few weeks ago my car went for MOT
it failed on sidelight bulb (1 side) and top strut bearing.
anyway tester said to me do you want me to change it or are you putting another LED light in there,
i said i will put LED in it i have some spare
he said no problem. and it passed.

like welly said with the colours as long as you dont display any colour at the front other than white you will be fine.

the reason why im trying out the led bulbs is becoz im on my 2nd set of ordinary ones,

for somereason they fade and go dim after awhile,
dunno why tho,

put the bulbs in the car, theyre alot better than standard,

the seller sent me a letter with the bulbs, incase there are can Bus issues they send out Resistors free of charge,

excellent service considering the bulbs are cheap as chips,

lozz just thinking. since having my new d8 from last december ive gone through 3 led side light bulbs on drivers side. the led ones can also blow out like normal ones just not as often i dont think.

Did u use cheap ones I've had mine in for over a year mine have 4 leds in each bulb

yes they was cheap. i think i got about 50 from china for 99p lol

lolthere u go then i paid 3 pound for the 1s ive got in i got sum cheap 1s with 7 leds in each bulb and they didnt last a week

ive had some cheap china made bulbs before,
these ones igot off ebay dont look like them ones,
theres transistors inside them too, the china ones igot before didnt have them, iended up throwing them away -the car iused them in didnt like them, take it there not made for can-bus cars
