ye these gaz ones are around 500-600 usually. i will be happy with 300. i know its a bargain but i cant find a gary wanting a private plate

theres been some realy daft ones going for good money on there latley so it looks agood place to advertise,

by imean Daft, imean some of the Reg numbers that go on there dont resemble anything not realy names but they seem to sell

Who's they? It's your number to sell. Stick it up for sale if you don't want it Lozz, I think that the transfer fee (that the buyer will pay) will include re-allocating an age specific plate to the renault. They can't leave it unregistered can they? In fact it might get it's original plate back (unless the private one has been on there since first registration, then they'll just allocate it a new number from the right year).

iwas thinking dvla just sold reg numbers on thats not held on redemption,

iwill look into it abit further, the original reg is still on the log book
theres abox saying this vehicle was originaly registerd as

thats the confusing part does the original reg get Binned /sold by dvla

I don't think that the original number is re-allocated. My old man managed to get the original reg put back on his 1963 Humber Sceptre after having his personal number on there for 30 odd years. It was 693EGH, probably worth a fair bit in it's own right.

I've currently got a 12 series reg on retention until I get a car new enough to put it on, the purchase price included the first transfer fee and a year's retention but if I don't get it on a car by the end of next Feb it'll cost me £25 a year to keep it on retention.

I have had my PP on 6 different cars and all have had the original number put back on. Which is nice because i kept the old plates so didn't need to go to the motor factors with my V5, driving license, birth certificate, utility bill, dick length.... to get some more
