hello all i have a citroen c5 2.2 hdi 2002 plate and have the nasty antipollution warning up on dash, i cant work out weather the car is in limp home mode or not as it will rev to 4.500 rpm, but its very slow at getting there!! on hills its terrible i would say it feels like 70 bhp.. but it runs fine and is very good on diesel and very quiet, anyway can some one go thru what i need to do i no i need to buy the galleto cable but then does the galleto software change the map ?
many thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
Sounds like it's in limp mode. Be aware, 'ANTIPOLLUTION FAULT', just means any engine ecu related error, there's a reasonable chance it's FAP related, but it's by no means certain.
Galletto only lets you read & write ecu files. (Search on eBay for a Galletto 1260). The ads may promise all sorts, but what you'll get is a tool you can read or write ecu files with, (if you're lucky, they don't all work), therefore I recommend a UK seller.......
I can convert your existing file to no-fap if you want, (PM me if you do), but can't generate a 180 bhp file for you, as this would have to be specific to the C5 variant you have.

Re: defap 180 map wanted
many thanks for your help doggy !! im on passionford and theres a guy there, Bailes.... he said you might be able to help me out
i will get the cable bought and send you the file, can you tell me what file i need to send please.. and i was thinking i might as well get the filter from under the car and pull the middle out as im in limp home mode anyway? what about the cat can i take that out as well? also i think its maybe one or all 3 of the solanoids or maybe the one that goes to the swirl or wastgate ..can you tell me if ther is any test you can do to see weather a solanoid is working or not? i was on another website who said when the c5 is in limp home mode its about how much load you put on the engine so the more load you put on the slower the car goes as in going up hill, mine is just like that even tho it will still do 100 mph theres no go in it at all and hills or just a joke, ive also reset the ecu using a method from another website were you put the key in the ignition turn it over 5 times but pull the key out after each time so the ecu cant read the key and on the 6 time it starts and all lights goes out and the ecu resets, this method does work and dash is clear of all fault codes but makes no difference on power and after 12 miles anti pollution light and esp back on ..
