Sat Nav Mountings

Post by Doggy »

I'm seriously tempted to get one of those Mr Magoo widescreen satnavs, but reckon it'll be too big to stick on the windscreen, (which is all I've ever done with my trusty 3" TomTom One).

I like the look of the new Start 60, but can anyone point me in the direction of some kind of dash mount that doesn't involve butchering the interior?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've got a widescreen Garmin nuvi and i have a "bean bag" type dash mount, you just plonk it on the dash and the weight and rubber base holds it dead firm,i'm sure tom tom do a similar mount. The benefit of this type of mount is that it doesn't leave the tell tale sucker circle on the windscreen for the scrotes to see and break in the car and look for the nav unit.

ive not used a sat nav in over ayear now,
itotaly give up with them there a waste of space,

They either send you through a river, or totaly loose signal Gps or what ever it is,
Hence why mine went through window somewhere on the A1 best place for dodgey sat navs and scratched cds imho

Mines similar to that,it must have lead shot or something similar to make up the weight,i plonk it on the dash above the airvents where the curve of the dash above the binnacle meets the parallel,it's never budged once even when cornering hard, don't tom tom do a specific one like garmin?

Yep, at a price, (£25) & theirs doesn't list the 6" screen Magoo special as one that fits it.
