Depends. What does Honest John think? Hmm, Laguna 1994-2001, Laguna 2 2001-2007
Laguna - "So many problems likely I can't recommend a Laguna 1 even as a cheap second-hand buy." (I think he said something similar about the 406
)
Laguna 2 - better ride than a mundano (must be good, coming from HJ). "Plagued by wide-ranging problems with the electrics, mechanicals and build quality." Stuff about dodgy auto boxes...
So, rather than fix their bungle, they'd have customer attack their new car's seats with a breadknife
I hope it's very, very, cheap.

FFSApparently, the ISOFIX rear seat attachments are in the wrong location and had to be recalled to resolve. Essentially they forgot to include the depth of the seat in the drawings therefore the hang points are about 4-6 inches too low in the seat. Renault has been advising Britax to tells customers to cut their seats to facilitate fitment.

All the Horror stories about the laguna is complete nonesense,
its just like any other car, You either get a good one or a Bad one, (pot luck)
ive said that the other night on another forum too (De ja vue)
The only problem areas are to watch are the Scuttle drains if they get blocked it can kill the car, Bsi dont like water,
Knocks clunks on rear end, Bushes not easy to change,
Front wishbones, Theyre a Mare to change!
they eat front springs,
the petrol ones Avoid like the Plague if they sound abit tappy, (Google Dephaser for more info,)
key cards are prone for falling to bits, theres ways of fixing them tho
All in all there agood motor, very comfy, theyre more suited for motorway driving,
Tax is cheap, and insurance is very cheap compared to other cars of that size, These are a safe car. 5 star rated

The autos are abeit slow,
as long as its not snatching going into gears, or problems changing up /overreving is normaly a sighn of a bad auto,

So what model is it?
Half leather seats, are they the Zebbra ones,
iguess your buying a Dynamique, it will have a Authentique badge on the inside of the glove box if it is,
