honest question chaps.

what do you think of this, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-56-Renau ... 3cc6948b35

idont know what to do, sell the Mk2.5 and get the lag 3 or not,

ican get a grand for the one ive got after what ive spent on it and break even, but theres nowt wrong with it,
ijust fancy afew more horse power, the 120 is abit slow, altho the mpg is awesome,

icarnt find a late -clean 406 or id just go back to a 406 and then theres the insurance, icarnt get insurance on a 406 as cheap as the renaults
and icarnt justify paying a grand or so ayear on car that only goes up to a 03 plate, the lags are the best substitute ive found, as in size and comfort,
yeah iknow lag has choclate turbos 406s dosent

Why is the 406 insurance so expensive for someone your age? roughly the same age aint we? 39ish? mine is less than 500 notes for both of us.... There is the post code lottery to factor into that though.

Idont know why mate, but the 406 is sky high on insurance imean its not acase of saving 100quid, its over 500 differnce,
its only a family size car not a ferrai -lotus, :? idont see why there hit hard but they are,

have a look at what group insurance they are , it dont make sense, :?

Just looked at one similar to mine on autotrader it says group 12E :? It's not because a lot of them get used for taxi's by any chance?... If thats the case i only do less than 8000 miles a year but taxi's can do 4 times that so it should go on the individual. :frown:

Must be the older the car the higher the risk- but that dont work out on paper :?

Mk2 lag diesel group 7
mk1 group 13

406 hdi group 12e
but d8 diesel is group 9

weird :?

as of the Remap thing on the lag: carnt find anywhere on the net,
but ive found a company selling tuning boxes for them in italy, so iwill try one of them out, heres hoping its not just a 10pence resistor stuck in a fancy box

Lozz this guy is local to me so a fair distance from you but with more info you could get a price just to have something to go by i can ask him for a price for you to bring the car to him aswell.
Hi Scott
Yes it should be possible via the diagnostic port [:)]
How come your friend is having trouble? Whereabouts is he and i can give you a quote [:)]
Whats the mileage of the car?
Cheers!
