not got a leg to stand on..... photograph the evidence of how it came, send everything over to ebay.

Sellers on ebay dont have a leg to stand on normally but scammers need a lesson taught to them....

I wouldnt pay for anything off ebay via any other means that Paypal.

Makes the issues of getting money back that much harder.

If it was a normal course, Paypal would just pay the money back to the buyer then set about claiming it back from the seller with no issues.

Now via bank transfer they have no authority over....

Ebay usually sorts you out fairly quickly with issues like that, if its broken the seller might not have packaged it very well, sometimes they can make mistakes, first send them an email explaining whats wrong and stating you want your money back, at the first sign of them playing about open a case/dispute on ebay and get ebay watching the thing, dont delete any emails the seller sends you and forward them to ebay. When a case is opened on ebay they sort it out within a week, if the seller doesnt bother doing anything the refund is automatically sent back into your paypal account.

That's outrageous!
Explain the problem to the seller and tell them (1) what you want them to do to put it right, and (2) that if the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction by <date> then you will create an eBay case.

Get the case raised on eBay as soon as possible. More than likely eBay will refund you directly (eBay own PayPal).

Hi,
Hes sent 100s of messages to the seller and theres been no reply from him,
ive even tried Myself and nothing, totaly blanked! mostprobs hes spent the funds hes gained and hes biding time .. seen all this happen before
some will scam people knowing full well they will have to pay it back, but its still done them a favour as they had like an interest free loan!

My mate is abit of A Nutter its took me a while to convince him to sit and wait he wanted to go for a 100 mile or so drive and drag the guy out of his house,
not worth going to jail for, :(

Ha ha. igot his attention in the end, :frown:

Reply was : Hello.
I haven't received any messages off of you (he had plenty of Messages :frown:
to make me aware of this problem.
I am sorry about this as I was selling
the radio piece you have which was shown in the picture and I didn't know
what to call the item and didn't know what to write for the description so
I re listed an ad that had the same picture but I wasn't aware this was
incorrect. I was also shocked when it sold for that much so I knew
something wasn't right.
I will be willing to give you a full re fund and
you can keep the radio face, but I am not sure how long my paypal money is
on hold for and if eBay will be refunding me the £20 they recently took out
of there( seller fees ect ). I will find out from eBay later tonight or
tomorrow when I am on the computer.
Many apologies and sorry for all the
inconvenience this had caused you.

Ah well, looks like Refund might be on its way.. hmm not sure how long itl take tho,

becareful what your buying folks
