Air con re-gas - now with added drama

Post by DrRog »

My mate re-gassed my air-con. He has been accumulating the required equipment over a period of time. I am guinea pig no.2

It works very well indeed, the car is positively cold now. I am impressed with its ability, I guess that is part of having a French car. Good Air-Con for South of France weather, less good heater.

I guess I might keep it for a little longer. :cheesy:

Edit 28th August

Driving home today, enjoying the cool as the weather was hot and humid.
First an irritating buzzing comes from the passenger footwell, it stops when I turn the A/C off, and starts when its turned on.
Then vapour starts coming out of the centre vents :o :(
It didn't ignite so I wonder if its just fog from the cold, perhaps excessive cold.

Any ideas??

It behaved itself today. :)
The cooler, wet weather meant I had the A/C and the heater on, it kept the windows clear and was comfortably less humid. 8)
Keeping the temperature of the air above 5C seems to help. :?
