406's & snow

ive only had my 406 a few months & im wondering what there like in the snow, ive had a 407 & various other cars & ive always managed to get through, so how does the 406 cope in the white stuff?

I put a pair of winter tyres on the front of mine and it went where ever i wanted to go in the white stuff.

I've found mine pretty good really, massive heavy derv lump above the driven wheels counts for a lot.

Mine didn't have winter tyres but they were brand new Bridgestones, so that probably helped a bit.

Just be even more aware of the already less-than-fantastic handbrake.

Its well planted in the snow, even with normal tyres it has plenty of grip to pull away and go up hills, and it still goes round corners normally.
Although you do need to take care when driving it will slide and skid like most other cars do in the snow.

The handbrake seems to be best in the snow where it takes the least effort for it to have an effect on the car, so get all your handbrake turns done while it lasts :cheesy:

Imho, the 406s are Brilliant in the snow, 8)

igot through a bad winter in my old d9, it ploughed through the snow on Standard steel wheels like a Tractor,

I've managed to avoid planting mine in the scenery these four winters past. Patience is the secret, (no RWD fun). :cry:

Rwd = fun.. Hell yeah but,

after the Nissan Serena Rwd. Flip mode snow episode, Rwd cars scare me in the snow

That sounds like the episode my mate had in one of those previa things, ice=spins which= a big lampost :shock: ... not a pretty sight and he was only overtaking. :roll:
