i would like to point out this is not a good idea, as this will log a fault code in the engine management, and put the K light on, the injectors operate at over 80 volts, which is more than enough to kill you, and it will also run like shite, and make more noise, due to the additional load on the other 3 cylinders

I have a (very) loud ticking injector on mine, it's the one furthest from the belts. How do I know? Stick your finger on the rubber connector and you can feel it! Just remember that noise is always caused by physical movement and the more distinct the sound, the easier it is to track down by touch

If anyone sees a turbo in a breakers yard... :)

this could be a sign the pulley is on its way out, have you had the cambelt replaced or do you have a reciept for it being done?
does the noise go away if you press the clutch?
does it happen with the a/c switched on or off?

hi the noise is there with a/c on an off cant really tell if its more noticeable with a/c or not i had a lok at the crank pulley today jacked it up and moved it a bit but cant tell if its going or not but the noise is definately coming from the drivers side bottom end the car has done 64k and as far as i know hasnt had a cam belt done if it is the crankshaft pulley how can i tell do i need to take the drive belt off to diagnose it if so how do i get it off its is now also more noticeable at idle too however the crank pulley looks in surprisingly good condititon a few of the people who have listened say it is faint rattle but i can hear it quite well maybe this is because i am getting obsessed at listening to it.
