Hi,

Sorry to revive an old thread.

I am trying to upload a new map to my 406 HDi but am having trouble with using this Galletto software and was wondering if someone could tell me what I might be doing wrong?

I have installed XP onto my laptop and am running the Galletto software from the .exe file provided (there doesn't seem to be any install process).

I can click 'ECU data' and that seems to work as the 'ECU data' box fills with info. When I click 'Read ECU' is comes back with the following error (seed key error) as seen in pic.

Any advice on how to read the ECU?

Thanks

Oh right ok, I'll give that a try. All the info I could find online said it only works on XP.

:) You may have to fiddle with the compatibility settings, I cant remember if I had to or not. I certainly flashed mine with a win 7 laptop.

I have just spent another hour in the car trying to get it to work and no matter what I do I get the same error. It is so odd because the 'ECU data' button works perfectly so the cable must be working.
