Since i am close to italy, everybody here drives bravo, brava and punto.
Didnt quite get if you find out about the engine, could be swapped,if there is jtd mark but engine is slow.
As i can tell, here Jtd engines are well apreciated for low fuel consuption and speed.

I thought the Fiat JTD engine and the Poxhall CDTI are the same, a sort of joint venture? Could be wrong but i do remember reading a guy putting a Fiat JTD EGR blanking plate on his Vectra CDTI 150.

He should be able to tell from the engine number. If it still has one...

Fiats? It's all Germans in Jaska - VW (škoda, seat itd.) mercedes, bmw, opel, anything with an undeserved reputation for reliability. Oh yes, beware old men driving big old Mercedes like invincible tanks

I'm sure at least the JTD engines in Alfa 156's, GT's etc is the same as the one in Vectra C's.

filled it with some neat diesel and it seems to run well,

the city mode comes in handy with my sore shoulder, one good thing about this car,

The Panda is outright dangerous to drive in City mode.
The steering wheel just wanders all over the place. If the steering wheel is returning to centre it's so over assisted it carries on turning in the other direction

My panda wasnt that bad in city mode, it made a huge difference but it never felt unsafe, my mum drove everywhere with it on.

You can practically flick the steering wheel from lock to lock with one light shove. :supafrisk:

One finger on the steering wheel for handbrake turns :cheesy:
The 100hp doesnt have a city mode, it has a button with sport which makes the steering a bit heavier instead.

What I want is a Panda 4x4 Diesel (I forget what they call them, they had funny eyes) with a 100HP kit, lowered (to normal 100hp height) on 100HP wheels and get the 1.3 Vauxhall engine remapped to 120bhp. :supafrisk: That could be interesting!
Then imagine it having front and rear LSD's

I saw a Panda 4x4 up on the ramps at my mate's garage, driveshafts as thin as my 'ickle finger so I can see them taking 120BHP. Briefly

Only one thing to do then! Carbon fibure propshaft and driveshafts. Then while the transmision is down you might aswell send it all to Quiaffe to be rebuilt stronger, lighter as a permenant four wheel drive with front and rear limited differentials!

And this is why I refuse to build my own car. It would cost me a fortune!

Actually the driveshafts on my mothers 1.2 are actually pretty big!

What, actually? I should have taken a pic, they were comical.

At the end of the day it'd still be a Fiat Panda...
