Unlike pretty much every other bright red one i saw, this one is unfaded and looks fantastic without any peeling lacquer etc
It passed it's MOT at weekend with only an advisory for a power steering fluid leak. We had a look at it on the ramps and it looks to be dripping from above and down onto the filter underneath the subframe (not a lot). I will do my best to sort this but am up to my eyes fixing the poorly 306 HDI. I hear it's a use-once fastener clip on the reservoir which comes loose and you can't reuse it, but it's just a case of refitting a standard jubilee clip and it's literally as simple as that - it's a fairly common issue I've come to read.
The engine in the car has 77000 but the mileage on the car itself is 140k because the previous owner (mechanic for a well known Subaru company) found it cheaper to replace the engine with a perfect one than to fix an oil leak on the old one. This engine is a fantastic runner. It's also had the mounts changed, cambelt changed, a new clutch, and a clutch-bleeding nipple installed (as the existing system is a closed system, so no problems there anymore!).
I've also put a set of new speakers in it (standard ones) and a new driver side check strap in the last couple of months.
It's taxed until 31st October 2012, and MOT'd until 15th September 2013
The bonnet has some stone chips and the interior heater only blows on full power. It still works on demist so the windows are demisting just fine and ever since I've had it, it honestly hasn't been an issue whatsoever. I just unplugged the heater the other day so it doesn't blow all the time but it just plugs back in easily with one plug in the footwell. The cable which lifts the drivers seat forward to let passengers in the back doesn't seem to work, but you can still slide the seat forward anyway using the switches.
It's currently got my own private plate on it, but this will be took off the car at the time the vehicle is signed over to the new owner (I'll fill the V317 form out and all you do is sign it, you take the car with my plates on, but it'll come back in your name with the old plates on - I can provide the old plates to save you getting them made up). I think the stereo is staying with me as well, but no biggy as everyone puts their own in anyway!
Nothing else to report - it's good to go, I've had absolutely no problems with it at all, and I'd be keeping it if I could. I already have another 3 cars though and driving around for work in this doesn't make sense so I've bought a 306 HDi for mile-munching.
Price.. I'm after £850 please! well worth it aswell, it polishes up lovely and looks stunning in this colour combo
