Siemens fuel filters with bosch injection pumps

Post by madmadmax »

ok so i have looked up on service box and it seams i have a strange one hear as i have a Siemens style fuel filter but with a Bosch fuel pump are there many like this or is the system wrong

i get this part number if i look up a fuel filter housing 190165 psa part number

this is an 02 110 hdi withe an rhz engine fitted the current engine is out of a 01

also the engine suffers from hard starting but it's been converted to a Bosch fuel filter, i know that there is a presser sensor in the lid of the Siemens housing but i have know idea what effect that has on the engine

i am a mechanic i also have pp2000 and have just given the car a full engine service

Siemen's style? :? That's a Mahle, as fitted to later 110s, 90s and 2.2s. Mine made a whistling noise from the filter housing with the sensor disconnected but it wasn't hard to start or anything.
