Went and ordered a new kitchen yesterday mine is falling apart so i gave in and actually went shopping with her in doors, before going we stopped off to look at floor tiles and glad we did we had an awesome deal and not even the guy who works there could believe it so well chuffed with that.
Only problem is they're a gloss tile and my existing wall tiles are more matt than gloss if you get what i mean? thing is we both want to keep them because not even the expensive ones in gloss style are as nice as the ones we have now and tops tiles still sell them if i need more at something like 20p each.

What i need is a way to gloss them up, my mate says hair laquor (sp) it acts as a unibond then you coat it with clear varnish... At 20p each theres room to experiment and was wondering if any of you have any ideas... Car paint laquor is another idea of mine but have no idea how the stuff would work on tiles.

Thing is i could go and spend £300 on new shiny tiles and rip the tiles out we like (more money more effort and the tiles aren't as nice)
