I can vaguely remember being a 406 noob, slightly embarassed at owning one of Satan's FAP-equipped 2.2 HDi's, back in the day when no-one knew how to deal with this sorcery. Everybody and his dog seemed to have petrol turbo's, welton had yet to morph into V*!v* welly, mjb had a v6 saloon, Captain Jack still had his remapped 2.1, Dai was just over half-way through his ownership of the HPI exec, Joel had been recently banished to the colonies........

........and people were winding puggy up over his poverty-spec GLX

Ah well, in an uncertain world, it's good to know there are some things you can still rely on.

Happy 4th birthday lol. i been here 2 1\2 years and still am a 406 noob.don't know nowt about diesels so cant help there and very few seem to have the 1.8 petrol. would love to get some experiance on the car but it never really goes wrong
although today i have had the dash out and sorted some blown bulbs,

Happy 4th! Ah, I've been here since 2005! Never really paid attention to that. That's with a lot of lurking, a hiatus from 406 ownership with the ghastly Accord and a now, not so new, 406 again.
