It had a full dealer history before I got it, but that doesn't matter because they really didn't do anything well (apart from charge the previous owner an awful lot!). It's got something like 192k on the clock, but it's nearly all motorway miles so don't worry about that too much. Cambelt changed at around 165k, clutch changed about 175k. Rear tyres are Firestone TZ300a's with a fair amount of tread, fronts are Mitchellin Primacy HP with 4mm left. I recommend the Firestones very highly for this car, which is good cos they're cheap

11.5 months MOT!
Tax until sometime next year I think.
This car will do 48mpg driven gently on the motorway, even with a full load
You can cram just as much stuff in this car as you can a saloon - even a child seat and travel system BOXED - it's not impractical at all!
This car will make you grin ear-to-ear once you break 4000rpm, doubly so on twisty tarmac.
The handling is sublime and it's VERY predictable right up to and even going past its limits.
This car will make you feel special.
The V6 Coupés never saw anything close to poverty spec, so it's nice in there. Full black leather and grey trim - as good as 406s get! I'll put pics up soon, or just look in the howto section

Trip computer
Cruise control (working!!! new vacuum valve from the dealers)
Pre-COM2000 stalks (reliable, dirt cheap to replace if necessary)
JBL amplified sound system (very good sound quality)
JVC MP3/DVD stereo and I'll chuck the original tape player in the boot if wanted.
Heated leather seats (bloody good condition for the age). They move forwards themselves when you need to get someone in the back. Very snazzy!!!
Electric memory seats
WORKING AIRCON! (spent a lot of time sorting that)
Bosch Aero wiper blades
Citroen mist-type washer jets
Auto-dimming mirror (working! one of the first things I replaced... You can also turn it off)
Mechanically, it's got freshly refurbished Brembo brakes which don't squeal. The engine and gearbox are sweet as anything, most of the engine management sensors are new, coil pack is fairly new, throttle body and ICV are nice and clean as is the inlet manifold. Radiator was replaced a few months before I bought it. Clutch hydraulics are perfect. It's got a nice new battery, I think I treated it to a Bosch S5 (or something silly expensive like that) which is WAY over-rated for this car. The exhaust is less than a year old. I've put expensive Philips bulbs in the headlamps, which are very good without being dazzling

Now the bad bits, because I can't really hide anything as it's all been posted on the forum

It's got 190k on the clock. Please don't let this put you off. It's not in perfect cosmetic condition, but what 13 year old car is? With a polish and some wax it still looks stunning
The driver's heated seat element doesn't work. I'm ok with a spanner, but upholstery is not my thing...
The gearstick knob is showing its age as is the sporty steering wheel.
The mirrors don't heat up. I have a pair of genuine Peugeot ones I bought a few weeks ago but haven't fitted yet. The driver's one is good, but the passenger's has an open circuit on the heater. Grrrr
The mirrors fold, but they need prodding to properly un-fold because they're a bit stiff for the poor motors through non-use. Oops
There's a click from the suspension when turning sharply. This is just the strut brace needing re-seating on the driver's side. Haven't had time to fix this, but the brace needs to come off to change the plugs so it's no biggie
It drops a bit of oil here and there. This is just the sump gasket in need of replacement. It doesn't drip much (couple of drops a day), and it's an easy fix for someone on its next oil change.
I haven't clayed/polished/waxed it in a year
The exhaust pipe trim is corroded because I bought a cheap emergency one last xmas eve. I do have a brand new genuine Peugeot back box in the garage but haven't had time to fit it. I'll sell this car with it in the boot.
The bad one. I had a whoopsie and put a dent in the nsr corner. I've replaced the bumper and light cluster and carefully painted it to prevent rust from forming, but it's not a proper repair job. It's not really noticeable unless you're looking closely at the car, but it's there.
Cracked n/s foglamp lens. Not an MOT failure point, strangely.
One of the small cosmetic(???) plastic trays under the car near the front bumper is cracked. I have a replacement but it's not fitted.
I can honestly say I believe that's all that's up with the car, and I know pretty much every inch of it. Intimately. I'll also chuck in every spare part I have (which is a sizeable collection!).
I'm not looking for 4 figures for this - that'd be crazy. Make me an offer, then add £90 to it because it's only done about 20 miles since I brimmed the tank - D'OH!!! I really want this to go to a good enthusiast's home. It deserves it. I'll accept bank transfers, but you're only getting the car after the money's cleared. People here know where I live, so I can't exactly do a runner

Location: ST5. In my garage. I can collect you from the coach/bus/train station for free, or anywhere reasonably nearby for petrol money. I ain't getting on a ferry though
