Not only have you sorted out this issue but you've also stopped me from buying a new flywheel which by the sounds of it I will never need
OK, you gotta let us know how you got the mounting to fit while the driveshaft was still in place! I've got my new mount sitting in the kitchen but i'm afraid to tackle the job in case my homemade pressing tool isn't up to the task.
What kind of tool did you use?
Would you say the mount took a lot of torque to press in as in say more than or less than a typical suspension bush?
Put the new bush in the freezer,
you cut the inside of the old bush out as much as you can, then use a junior hack saw, take the blade off and put the blade the wrong way round
on the inside where the old bush was , put the handle back on then cut away for 10 mins or so,

(its the metal ring from the old bush you want out)
once youve cut through, get something with a sharp edge and chizzel whats left out,
the frozen new bush shouid then just tap in, no need to press it in,
Dont put the bush in the wrong way or you will end up with a vibrating dashboard,
get a Mental picture of the old bush before removal and then you will be able to work out the position of the new bush shouid be tapped in at,
