Just an update to my previous question, basically last week my clutch started slipping which was only replaced by peugeot 44k ago.
But now the slipping has seemed to stop - well infact i have done over 800 miles with no slip, well it slipped once within that.
But when cold there does seem to be a slight rattle from the gearbox end but this goes when the clutch pedal is depressed, and it also goes when the car has warmed up. My dilemma is the car is booked in the garage on wednesday for a new clutch to be fitted at a very hefty £347. But do i or dont i as like i say it has stopped slipping now, dont understand it!!
clutch question again

the rattle could be the input shaft or bearing and the slip caused by a leak from the input shaft oil seal.
I wouldn't have a clutch on it, theres a risk the seal/shaft/bearing goes after and ruins the new clutch. if its not slipping leave it, then if the noise gets worse you can have clutch (if required) when you have that sorted.
I had input shaft/bearing and seal go on a car of mine, only found out (apart from the noise) because i checked the gearbox oil (i.e topped up), which then leaked all over the clutch

I would agree, don't change the clutch yet.
Funnily enough, my clutch hasn't slipped for ages, mind you you have to get it all nice and hot to slip it, and I've not been using the car that much.
I suspect I hace a crank seal oil leak which maybe affecting the clutch as seen here:

You can see oil present at the gearbox end.
The problem is, if you go ahead and inspect the oil seal, you may aswell fit a clutch while your down there
