Police Pug's

Post by ThePrisoner »

Thought you might be interested in these pictures of Peugeot's used by Kent Police. Kent Police entire fleet was Peugeot up until 2003 ish when they started switching over to Skoda. Most of the Kent Police fleet is now made up of mainly Peugeot and Skoda vehicles now.

Peugeots include marked 306, 406, 206, and 307's.

This one is our beloved D9 406. Used by Kent Police as an ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle). This is the 2.0l Petrol 16v car. This particular vehicle is still in service, is extremely high mileage and is now used as a pool car by Kent Police Engineering Services for when the new Skoda Octavia vRS ERV's are off the road.

Also just for comedy value, here is a Kent Police Peugeot 206. It is used as a marked GPV (General Patrol Vehicle.) Not sure which engine it has, but it will be a diesel. This photo was taken at Margate Police Station (GZ Division).

I have some more photo's somewhere, will post the up when I find them. They include a marked 306 in white, and marked 307's in silver.

We have pugs in south yorkshire they are just starting to replace them with Ford's (Ford On Roadside Dead) the reason they no longer buy white cars it is because of the resale value once they have done with them.

Same here. The Police are now buying Silver Focus Saloons. I can see the point in silver helping the resale value, but using saloons seems a bad move. Some cars were designed to be hatchbacks

306
Nova
Focus
Astra
and many more.
