Sorry if this has already been covered but I have fitted D8 electric/heated memory leather seats to my 02 D9 rapier (originally non elec cloth) and have the electric part working (seat movement). How can I get the heated part working without doing it via the ecu as im not bothered about the memory function?
I got a set of switches for the heated seats off ebay but they dont have any plugs on the back plugged into them.
Any help would be much apreciated as it would be nice to get them working

Check under the centre console for the heated seat switches, mine had them already, do you have a brown 2 pin plug under the seats? If you've got both of them all you need is a fuse and a relay.
As far as am aware there is no switch under the centre console but there is the brown plug under the seat.
Where abouts under the centre console is the switch and is it just wires (??? colour?) or plugs?

Just quickly before I get another BSOD... Connectors are in the post here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12404. If you7've not got them you'll have to get some from a breaker and provide a power from somewhere (I think people have used the lighter but I'm not sure what the current is like, sorry)
If you have the brown plugs under the seats I'm 99% sure you'll have the plugs for the switches, the switches go in the bit of the centre console in front of the air bag switch, it's probably just got coin holders there now, the plugs, if you have them and assuming nobody has unclipped them, clip into the bottom of the switch holder, there's another one for the alarm button but all 3 are colour coded to the switches that plug into them, I think the alarm is yellow, one seat is green and the other is black.

The seats arnt originally from my car there out of a D8. Mines a D9 that had non elec/non heated cloth seats. The switches i have for the heated seats dont have any wiring with them.
If I got the wiring that goes from the switches to the seat could i then just get a live feed from somewhere in the car and make them work that way??

I meant did the car have a brown plug under the seat, I fitted D8 leather to my D9 that didn't have electric or heated seats but the wiring was already there for the heater and motors but the fuses were missing.
The wiring for the heated seats is part of the car loom, not a separate loom, but if you get the plugs for the switches, plugs for the seats (or cut them off and use insulated spades or something) and a couple of relays you'll be able to wire them up, the worst bit will be finding a good live, or running one from the battery.
Thre is some wires coming from the carpet under the seat, they have a blue plug, red plug and brown plug.
One is the pre tensioner, one is the airbag (original seats had airbags in them, leathers dont) and dunno what the other one is. I dont know which one is which.
I should be ok for a live as I already have a live from the battery for the motors for the movement of the seat.

If the car has already got the wiring for the heated section under the centre console where abouts would they be and where would they be coming from. Also what colours would they be.
