earth strap

Noticed an earth scrap today hanging underneath the car in the centre.should I get it sorted asap and what's it earthing.

You mean the engine earth strap?

If so yes replace it asap, the earth strap is there for the Starter/alternator Mainly,

It was hanging under the passenger seat,I assume its attached to cat or summary.
