Yeah the electric handbrake is stupid.

My mate parks his on a steep drive, he started the engine one day got in and accidently touched the acc pedal,
the handbrake Released and started rolling,

The Main agent called him a liar!
and said there is nothing wrong with it he carnt wait to get rid of it but hes stuck with it on a Mobility deal :(

thing is how are they meant to teach new drivers a hill start with these things ??? you need to touch the footbrake to release the damned thing, or just ignore it and pull away without releasing it and it gives in after a few yards.........cannot be the right way to do it !!

I don't think you can actually use a car with an electric handbrake on a driving test. They're crap, especially the VAdGe ones which seize and malfunction all over the place.

The electronic handbrake in the Vulva does worry me that it might go wrong etc, but I've had no issues with using it at all. Holds the car on any slope (something of a novelty after owning 406s for 12 years  ), you can release it using the button (with your foot on the brake) or simply drive away and it'll release itself. If you take off in a rush you get a little drop at the rear just before it releases, but that's no problem :cheesy:

Saying that my car is kept undercover, on a flat driveway, and I have taken to not using the handbrake when it's left overnight... just in case

One of the guys in work with a Passat had one of the rear calipers jam on. He tried to unwind it manually and reset it with VaginaCom (Or whatever they call their version of PP2000) but in the end he had to have it towed away to a garage who emptied his pocket of £500 to replace one rear caliper

Yes a common issue on pre 2007 passats. Mine had both replaced before I purchased it.

My leccy handbrake is awesome but you cant do handbrake turns at all with it, not even in the snow :( it just slows you down and stops you in a controlled and sensible way- very boring indeed.
