It can't be for anything else, the sensor must be watching that and using the missing "teeth" to know where the crankshaft is. I dunno, maybe it'll confuse the ecu at speed :?

exactly sir !!

yes I have tapped it......but I found a little crack on spacer area.
beside the cranck sensor miss pick up the signal.....maybe unbalanced rotation of the plate which caused by the crack

finally, I found the 2nd hand ring gear.
the mechanic started to reassembly all.up the gearbox and......started the car.......wowww the problem solved !!
Peugeot planet show no error with crank sensor again.

thank all.....after almost 6 month my car sat on workshop.

but I have another problem.

leaks between engine and auto gearbox can't be found until now.

what else which would cause these?
I have replace the input shaft seal more than three times, 2nd hand torque converter dan oil pump housing.

I cant see what else would cause leaks on that area.

my friend say, there maybe a little crack on gearbox housing (where the oil pump etc sit)...has anyone experience the problem like this?

Driveshaft seals? These were leaky on mine and I had to replace them. Admittedly they were not leaking much though.

UPDATED

finally all problem solved.

input shaft seal leaked caused floating TC.
at the side of crankshaft, there is a small bushing where another side of TC sit.
and from previous workshop, the bushing is missing or not installed.

very2 cheap bushing.......about £5.00 but make big mistake which quote me almost £800 for trace that problem.

thanks 4 all.
cheers. :)
