tuning box not 406

just started to do the 6 monthly service on car(lag dci)took engine cover off and noticed a nice little silver box followed wiring down it was connected to the injector rail so i`ve disconnected it and plugged the original wire back in what i wanted to know has much fuel will i now save save cos i was struggling to get 40 on a run

john,iused to get over 53mpg from the lag ihad,
and sometime alittle bit more depending on how you drive them,

You shouid save agood bit,with the tuning box off,
they dont need the box anyway, what engine is yours, have you got the 120 horses ?

yes lozz 120 horse sport tourer in initiale spec

8) you shouid be in the 50s on the mpg on that .

flying machine on the motorway arnt they :cheesy:

i`ve only opened her up once and hit 120 before i chickened out probably good for 130
noticed a vast improvement in mpg since unplugging the box getting low 40s just going the 6 miles to town
will know more on my 40 mile commute to work next week
